German luxy car maker Audi has launched the all new A4 sedan in India at prices starting from Rs. 38.10 lakh ex showroom Delhi and Maharashtra. Currently only a petrol version will be on offer. A diesel model will follow later this year. The new Audi A4 will be available in two variants, Premium Plus and Technology.
Badged as the 30 TFSI, the new Audi A4 is powered by a 1.4 litre turbo petrol engine that develops 150 horsepower horsepower and comes mated to a 7 speed S Tronic gearbox, that drives the front wheels. The new A4 goes from 0 to 100 kph in 8.5 seconds and has a top speed of 210 kph. The car also features a fuel saving free wheeling function called ‘Coasting Mode’.
On the exterior it features a prominent front grille with LED headlamps and dynmamic turn indicators. The new A4 is 95 kg lighter than the previous gen car thanks to the use of intelligent material mix. The new A4 is 4.73 metres long and has a wheelbase of 2.82 metres.
The new Audi A4 gets the Audi Virtual Cockpit, which is a digital instrument cluster. It comprises of high res graphics and gives choice of two display views: Classic and Progressive.
Other features on the new Audi A4 include the MMI infotaiment system with Navigation and MMI Touch, compatibility for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging pad for Qi smartphones, three zone climate control and memory function for seat, mirror adjust, drive mode and more.
The new Audi A4 rivals the Mercedes C-Class, BMW 3-Series, Jaguar XE and Volvo S60 in the Indian market.
