The compact size of the Mercedes EQA makes it easy to drive around and you can push through gaps that become available at times.

Mercedes-Benz is betting big on the EV space in India. While they tested waters with the EQC, the real deal came with the EQS and then was followed by the EQB and the EQB. The three pointed star is set to launch 3 more BEVs in India this year and it has kicked started that move with the introduction of the EQA. The Mercedes EQA will be the entry level model the EV lineup and the most affordable as well. We get the updated version in the 250+ guise and I spent some time with it in Jaipur to find out just how electrifying Merc’s latest EV baby is.

The EQA is based on the GLA crossover so while the overall styling. It gets LED headlamps connected by a light bar flanked by a piano black finish grille with large three pointed star logo and small stars filling the rest of the surface. There are 19 inch aero alloy wheels that have a very classy design. There are squared wheel arches as well that look quite muscular. The rear gets new design connected LED tail lamps and a new bumper. Dimensions wise the EQA 21mm longer and 19mm taller than the GLA. Overall the smooth lines give the EQA a premium look. Colour options include Polar White, Cosmos Black, High-tech Silver, Mountain Grey, Spectral Blue, MANUFAKTUR Patagonia Red and a new MANUFAKTUR Mountain Grey Magno.
