Hyundai has launched their N performance range in India. The Hyundai i20 N Line is the first of the model from the N Line range that will be launched in India in the coming days. Bookings have opened online and at select Hyundai dealerships for an amount of Rs. 25,000/-
The Hyundai i20 N Line gets a number of styling updates over the regular car. Upfront it gets a chequered flag inspired front grille and an aggressive front bumper with a splitter and red accents. On the side it gets new design 16 inch alloy diamond cut alloy wheels with N logo in the centre. The front disc brakes gets red calipers. The front fender also gets N Line badging. The side Skirts also get red accents. At the rear, there is new spoiler on the tailgate with side wings, reworked rear bumper with a black diffuser and twin exhaust pipes.
Exterior paint options include Thunder blue (Exclusive to the i20 N Line), Fiery red, Titan grey and Polar white – and two dual-tone paint options – Thunder blue with Phantom black roof and Fiery red with Phantom black roof.
The all black interior gets red elements on the dashboard and door pads. It also gets red ambient lighting. The seats are chequered flag inspired and feature the N logo on the back rest. Additionally its gets a new three spoke steering wheel, sporty pedals and N branding on the gear knob.
There and new voice recognition command, the BlueLink gets 58 connected car features and there are 16 free OTA updates as well. Most of the other features are carried over from the standard i20. These include a 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment, digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, cruise control, 7 speaker BOSE sound system and more.
The i20 N Line is powered by the same 1.0 three cylinder turbo petrol available in the regular i20. The engine develops 120 horsepower and 172 Nm of torque. The car is available with an IMT or 7 speed DCT automatic gearbox. Enthusiasts would have wanted a conventional manual as well.
While there are no changes engine wise, the i20 N Line gets a sporty exhaust note, The suspension has also been reworked for better handling and grip when driven in a spirited manner. Additionally, the i20 N Line also gets four disc brakes as opposed to two in the regular car.
The Hyundai i20 is expected to be priced at Rs. 1 lakh to 1.4 lakh more expensive than the range topping Asta (O) variant.
