Hyundai has taken the wraps off the new second generation Hyundai Creta at the Auto Expo 2020. The new Creta is a huge departure in terms of styling and features from the model it replaces.
Up front the new Creta gets a cascade style front grille. The headlamp design is completely radical an could divide opinions on their styling. There is an LED DRL on top with another positioned below. The actual headlamps sits between the DRLs. The headlamps themselves are LED units. There are new design fog lamps and the front bumper also gets a prominent scuff plate. Looking at it from the side, the new Creta gets square wheel arches along with body cladding all around. There are new 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and silver finish to the roof that extends to the C pillar. At the rear, there is a split design with the brake light enclosed.
The new Creta is larger than its predecessor and also has a longer wheelbase. That should translate to more legroom on the inside. Hyundai hasn’t revealed the interior of the new Creta yet and this can be expected closer towards the launch date.
As far as engines go, the new Creta is expected to share motors with the Kia Seltos. These would be the 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol and the 1.5 litre turbo diesel. The 1.4 litre turbo petrol with the DSG gearbox could also find its way into the new Creta.
Prices of the new Hyundai Creta are expected to be higher than the older model.
