The Tata Nexon facelift has been launched with prices starting at Rs. 6.95 lakh for the petrol and Rs. 8.45 lakh for the diesel. The new prices are Rs. 22,000 higher for the petrol and Rs. 56,000 for the diesel.
Changes to the exterior are similar to those seen on the Nexon EV. There is is a new front end with new headlamp with DRLs, a flatter bonnet to meet pedestrian norms, new front grille, revised front bumper with styling elements, new 16 inch alloy wheels, redesigned rear bumper, tail lamps with new design elements and Nexon lettering on the tail gate.
Inside, the Nexon gets a full digital instrument cluster unlike the half one in the Nexon EV, flat bottom steering and new fabric with contrast stitching for the upholstery.
As far as engines are concerned, the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel have been upgraded to meet BS VI emission norms. Both motors continue to develop an identical 110 hp/170 Nm and 110 hp/260Nm. Transmission options include a 6 speed manual or an AMT.
The Nexon has received a 5 star rating in the Global NCAP safety tests.
Rivals to the Tata Nexon include the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV300.
