BMW India has announced that it is now offering BS 6 compliant variants of its entire model range . The car maker further says that while the petrol engines are already compliant with the BS norms, the diesel engines will be compliant before the stipulated deadline of April 2020.
The BMW plant at Chennai has already started local production of BS 6 diesel variants of the 5-Series and the 6-Series Gran Turismo. The BS 6 variant of the X1 crossover will also go into production soon.
BMW says that all models launched in 2019 are available in BS 6 and BS 4 variants. BMW India will increase prices of BS 6 models by upto 6 percent next year.
