Jaguar Land Rover India has announced electrification plans for the country. The car maker plans to launch Hybrid Vehicles to Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) over the next few years in India, starting from 2019.
Jaguar Land Rover will launch hybrid models from the Land Rover brand later this year. Moving ahead they will launch the all electric Jaguar I-Pace SUV in India in the second half of 2020.
The I-Pace is powered by two electric motors developed by Jaguar that develop 400 horsepower and 696 Nm of torque. It can go from 0 to 100 kph in 4.8 seconds and features a 90kWh Lithium ion battery that gives a driving range of up to 480 kms. Fast public charging (100kW) can charge the I-Pace to 80 percent power in just 40 minutes and a 15 min charge can give you a 100 km range.
