The latest instalment of the cult Fast and Furious franchise hit cinema screens recently and most of you petrol heads might have already seen the movie by now. Apart from this being the last film featuring Paul Walker who tragically passed away in 2013, it does have its share of fast cars as any F&F movie does. But there is one special automobile that is part of ‘Furious 7’  that is a little more special. If you have seen the sequence of a supercar flying through Abu Dhabi skyscrapers with Vin Diesel at the wheel, you know what Im talking about. This is the Lykan Hypersport and we at Throttle Blips thought of telling more in detail about this super…sorry hypercar.

The Lykan Hypersport is built by W Motors an Arabian based company and is the first hypercar to be built in the Middle East. The Hypersport was launched in Qatar in January 2013 and is very very exclusive. Production is limited to only 7 units and the car is priced at a whopping USD 3.4 million.

The body of the Lykan Hypersport Power is made up of carbon composite material . It has a mid engine rear wheel drive layout and comes with a 3.7 litre flat 6 Boxer powerplant that puts out 770 horsepower @7100 rpm with 960 Nm torque @4000 rpm. It goes from 0 to 100 kph in 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 385 kph. The engine is mated to either a six speed sequential gearbox or a seven speed dual clutch PDK. It comes shod with 255/35 ZR19 rubber at the front and massive 335/30 ZR20 at the rear.

The interior is nothing short of a space ship. It gets a carbon fibre centre console and a 9 inch Holographic Mid-Air Display. system. The seats have a wrap around carbon fibre body shell which keep driver’s body and neck stable during high speed driving. The seats also get gold wire stitching. The Lykan comes with diamond incrusted LED head lamps, something that not seen n any other production hypercar today. If that isnt enough you have a choice of various precious stones like Diamonds, Yellow Diamonds, Rubies, Sapphires and Emeralds that you can have integrated into the car. The key is made up of a combination of carbon fibre, titanium and other precious stones.

Safety wise the Lykan Hypersport gets dual front airbags, integrated side airbags, ABS, ASR, ABD and Traction Control. Other standard equipment includes:

The Lykan Hypersport is the most expensive car to have been used in the Fast & The Furious series of movies.
