2024 Audi Q8 Engine & Performance
Things under the hood remained unchanged. In 55 TFSI guise, the Q8 retains the 3.0 V6 turbo petrol motor that churns out 340 horsepower with 500 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via the quattro system. The engine is so refined and smooth with power delivery coming up with a very linear fashion. Push the pedal harder and there is a lovely surge making for a punch mid range. Audi claims a 0 to 100 timing of 5.6 seconds with a limited top speed of 250 kph. The eight speed autobox works perfectly in sync wit he motor. Shifts are smooth and you also have paddles to take manual control of things. The various drive modes also do their bit to enhance the driving experience.
2024 Audi Q8 Ride & Handling
Unlike the earlier model, this Q8 doesn’t get an air suspension setup but makes do with a regular steel springs set up. Ride is comfortable despite the massive 21 inch wheels . Bumps and undulations are well taken care off. You don’t feel unsettled at any given point of time. Even in the handling department, despite the bulk the Q8 does pretty well in the corners. Sport mode makes things better as well. Body roll is well controlled for its size and grip is excellent thanks to the quattro doing its thing at all times. High speed stability in a straight line is fantastic and you will enjoy driving the Q8 on the open highway.
