Citroen eC3 Charging
As far as charging goes, the eC3 can be charged from 10 to 80 % percent in 57 minutes via a DC fast charger and from 10 to 100 % in 10.5 hours using the included cable after plugging it into a 15A socket. Citroen is not offering a wall box charger with the car. The battery pack on the car is air-cooled and not liquid-cooled so it will be interested to see how it will cope with various temperatures in India. Citroen says it has tested the car at temperatures from -10 degrees Celsius to 55 degrees Celsius. Citroen says you can charge he car via DC fast charger at all times and it wont affect battery life. One reason for this is that the charging speed is lower as well and won’t heat up the battery pack.
Citroen eC3 Handling, Ride & Safety
I couldn’t test the ride quality as we drove on smooth tarmac on the track. I will save that for when I get the car at home. But at the same time I can say that the eC3 was wafting on the track in a smooth manner. The wide stance keeps body roll under check and hold well while cornering. The steering doesn’t feel very light but is direct and has nice weight to it. I personally like steering to be on the heavier side.
The safety kit comprises of dual airbags, ABS, reverse parking sensors, speed-sensitive auto door locks, and seatbelt reminders for driver and passenger. It doesn’t get ISOFIX for child seats or a rear camera.
