Citroen eC3 Battery & Performance
The eC3 comes with a 29.2 kWh lithium-ion pack. Range is a claimed 320km (ARAI) but expect real world range to be in the vicinity of 200-220 kms on a single charge. Power output stands at 57 hp and 143 Nm of torque. Citroen claims a 0 to 60 kph time of 6.8 seconds. As I mentioned earlier, I had very little time at the wheel and my drive was restricted to an oval test track with a few chicane type turns. Acceleration of the eC3 is quite linear and it isnt very quick off the line as you would expect from an EV. The car is very smooth from the word go and is very silent. The top speed is restricted to 107 kph. You get Eco and Normal modes but there is hardly any difference between the two. But all said and done, the eC3 would be perfect to drive in the city and the power will be adequate as well. I am really looking forward to driving the car in urban city scenarios to see how it fares in real world conditions. There is regen braking but it is mild and only one level unlike seen in the Tata cars.
