Jeep Meridian Verdict
The Meridian is all you expect from a Jeep product and more. The styling cues from the Grand Cherokee make it a looker and it feels tough as nails. The interior is also well finished and feels built to last. You also get a third row of seats but usage is very limited. The equipment list is nice too. It drives brilliantly and handles like no other SUV out there. Performance is adequate for the city and for long distance driving. I do wish Jeep should have given a little more power to the Compass’ big brother though. The automatic gearbox is slow and there is no petrol option yet.
The Meridian comes in two variants, Limited and Limited (O). There is no word on pricing yet but it will come at a substantial premium over the Compass for sure. As a package with its off-road capabilities and virtues, it is hard to beat. So if you are looking for an SUV that can do it all, love driving and want to carry a full house on some occasions, the Jeep Meridian is definitely something to consider. An aggressive price tag will only make it more desirable.
