2021 Audi A4 Interior
Step inside the A4, and as expected you are greeted by an interior comprising of clean lines and high quality. Fit and finish is excellent and piano black finishes on the dashboard feel classy. The dark tan upholstery feels premium and the horizontal design elements that merge with the AC vents are a nice design cue. The A4 comes with Audi’s Virtual Cockpit and it features three themes as well; Classic Sport and Dynamic. The steering wheel is finished in leather and while it feels nice to hold, I would have loved a flat bottom one, something that comes in the Q2. The knurled knobs for the climate controls have a quality feel and I also love the stubby gear selector. What’s also new in the A4 is the 10.1 inch standalone touchscreen with the latest MMI infotainment system featuring Android Auto, Apple Car Play, navigation and the works. The screen is slick to use and has crisp graphics. Other goodies include wireless charging, three zone climate control, ambient mood lighting in multiple colours and an electric sunroof.
The front seats get electric adjust with memory function for the driver. The seats themselves cocoon you nicely in place and have excellent comfort. Side bolstering is great too. So what’s it like for the chauffeur driven? There is ample legroom and headroom for the rear passengers. Under thigh support is adequate, but the recline angle of the backrest could have been better. Also, the high transmission tunnel and protruding climate control unit will make things tight for a third passenger. The rear windows also get manual sun blinds. The 460 litre boot space will swallow your weekend trip luggage and the occasional airport runs.
