2020 Tata Harrier Interior

Get inside and the cabin does look familiar as before. The Floating Island 8.8 inch touchscreen, leather wrapped steering wheel, semi digital instrument cluster are all that you have seen earlier. The brushed aluminium and faux wood surfaces are great to touch. The leather door handles and grab handles add a very premium feel too. The Oak brown leather is something that I personally love. Fit and finish is way improved in the 2020 Harrier and that is apparent in the consistent panel gaps. Overall, the cabin feels very plush and rich. Coming to the new additions, first up is the panoramic sunroof which adds a very airy feel to the cabin. It comes with anti pinch, closes automatically when you switch off the car and when it senses rain. Tata says it is the widest in the segment. The USB slot that was a pain to access earlier, is now placed conveniently on the centre console. The driver’s seat gets six way electric adjust making it pretty easy to find your ideal driving position. There’s also an auto dimming IRVM. However, I would have liked a conventional hand brake lever too. While the aircraft throttle style unit looks stylish, it feels cumbersome to use. What is nice, is the awesome sounding 9 speaker JBL sound system. Wireless charging is available as an option.

Seat comfort is fantastic. The large front seats offer excellent support and the same goes for the rear too. Headroom and under thigh support is great and the angle of the backrest is good too. There is loads of legroom as well. Those who like being chauffeured around will be a happy lot.

Overall, the build quality feels solid just like an SUV should be. The doors need a proper slam to shut though, a light effort will see the door open icon flashing on the MID.
