The 2020 Ford Endeavour with a BS VI compliant diesel engine has been launched with prices starting at Rs. 29.55 lakh ex showroom. Note that these are introductory prices which will be valid till April 30, 2020. Prices will then increase by upto Rs. 70,000.

The Ford Endeavour now comes with a new 2.0 litre four cylinder EcoBlue diesel engine that is compliant with the BS VI emission norms. The motor develops 170 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque. Ford says that the new engine is 14% more fuel efficient than before and the 4X2 will return 13.90 Kmpl while 4X4 variant will deliver fuel efficiency of 12.4 Kmpl. The engine also has a 4 decibel reduction in idle noise.

Also in a first, the updated Endeavour will feature a 10 speed automatic gearbox, the only vehicle in India to do so. Created with high-strength steel, aluminium alloys and composites to optimize durability and weight, the new age transmission translates to better acceleration, responsiveness and performance, thanks to a wide-ratio span and optimized gear spacing.  Progressive Range Select or SelectShift® is another first for the segment.

The 4×4 system comprises of the Terrain Management System (TMS) with four preset modes – Normal, Snow/Mud/Grass, Sand and Rock – that alter the vehicle’s throttle response, transmission, the four-wheel-drive system and traction control. Additionally the Endeavour has a water wading capability of 800 mm.

Changes to the updated model include all LED headlamps in a redesigned square cluster and provide up to 20% greater lighting penetration for enhanced night-time visibility.

Features include SYNC 3 with 8-inch touchscreen and Apple CarPlay, Google Auto, panoramic sunroof, Semi-Auto Parallel Park Assist, push start button, hand-free power lift rear gate, rear and front parking sensors, rear parking camera, automatic headlamps, automatic wipers, DRLs, dual-zone automatic climate control, 8-way power-adjustable driver & front passenger seat, Hill launch Assist / Descent Control and Active Noise Cancellation.

It also features the FordPass connected car tech where one can remotely operate functions like starting, stopping, locking or unlocking the vehicle, know remaining fuel levels & distance to empty & locating the vehicle. All variants of 2020 Ford Endeavour will come with a factory-fitted, cloud-connected device that will communicate with vehicle owners in real-time via the FordPass smartphone app.

The 2020 Ford Endeavour will be available in three colours — Diffused Silver, Sunset Red, and Diamond White.
