The 2019 Porsche Macan facelift has been launched in India priced at Rs. 69.98 lakh and the Macan S at Rs. 85.03 ex showroom.
The Macan is powered by a 2.0 litre four cylinder turbo charged engine developing 252 horsepower and 370 Nm of torque. The Macan S comes with a 3.0 V6 turbo petrol putting out 354 horses and 480 Nm torque. Both engines come mated to a 7-speed PDK automatic gearbox with paddle shifters and feature PTM, Porsche’s active all wheel drive system and map-controlled multi- Plate clutch with automatic brake differential (ABD) and anti-slip regulation (ASR). On the exterior, the Macan features all LED headlamps with 4 point daytime running lamps, three-dimensional LED taillight design with integrated 4-point brake lights with a lighting strip, large air intakes in the front bumper, 18 inch alloy wheels (19 inch on the Macan S), roof spoiler and twin exhaust pipes.
Features on the interior include 4.8 screen for the instrument cluster, gear indicator for the PDK, eight way electric adjust for the front seats, leatherette / Alcantara upholstery, multifunction steering wheel, 10.9 inch PCM infotainment system with navigation, Porsche Connect Plus with an integrated 4G sim for Porsche Connect Services 150 W sound system with 10 speakers, three zone climate control, USB charging sockets, 500 litres boot space that can go up to 1500 litres with rear seat folded and mechanical sun blinds on rear windows.
Safety features include 8 airbags, ABS, rear view camera, Park Assist, roll over sensors for airbag activation, Porsche Hill Control, ISOFIX for child seats and three point seat belts.
Porsche has also introduced the Crest Care maintenance packages for the Macan. Prices for the standard packages start at Rs. 1.43 lakh for 60k kms/ 4 years for the Macan and Rs. 1.52 lakh for the Macan S. The Elite packages cost Rs. 5.34 lakh for the Macan and Rs. 5.56 lakh for the Macan S for the same duration of time.
The Porsche Macan and Macan S rival the Jaguar F-Pace petrol and Range Rover Velar petrol in the Indian market.
