2019 Nissan Kicks Interior

Step inside the Kicks and you immediately notice that Nissan has really worked on giving the interiors a premium feel. The brown leather with contrast stitching on the dash is nice to the touch and chrome bits all around look classy. The instrument cluster reminds you of the Captur and features a tachometer and a large digital speedometer. The fuel gauge looks a little too larg though and could have been smaller.  There is also carbon fibre finish on some parts of the centre console and the door pads. The steering wheel is well finished too and is nice to hold. Some blank buttons on the steering are an eyesore though. A highlight of the cabin is the floating 8.0 inch touch screen infotainment system. Its slick and easy to operate and comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There is also a segment first 360 degree camera which works well. The auto climate control cools the cabin effortlessly and the sound system is decent.

But the cabin is not without its flaws. The central armrest has a weird positioning and does not open for stowage. There are no cup holders up front in the centre console and only one USB slot. There is no wireless charging for smartphones and no dead pedal either. It also misses out on a sunroof, which is an Indian customer favourite these days and isn’t an auto dimming IRVM either. Also, the foot well feels narrow and your knee ends up hitting the centre console.

The front seats of the Nissan Kicks offer good comfort and support along with adequate bolstering. The driver’s seat also gets height adjust which has a good reach. The quilting on the leather upholstery with contrast stitching feels very upmarket. There is good space at the rear with adequate headroom and legroom and under thigh support is good as well. You do sit a bit upright though but the rear seats get adjustable headrests. The third passenger wont have a problem fitting in thanks to the wide bench and an almost flat floor. There are rear AC vents too but no USB slot at the rear, only a 12 V power socket. The Kicks also gets a unique dual parcel shelf that you can use to access the boot from inside the cabin. The 400 litre boot has enough space but the loading lip is on the higher side.
