Mercedes-AMG has taken the wraps off the new E63 and the E63 S prior to its debut at the upcoming Los Angeles Motor Show. The company says thats the Mercedes-AMG E63 S is the fastest E-Class of all time. The 5.5 litre twin turbo V8 has made way for the 4.0 litre twin turbo V8 in the new cars. In the E63, the engine develops 563 bhp and 750 Nm of maximum torque alllowing it to go from 0 to 100 kph in just 3.5 seconds. In the ‘S’ version, the same engine develops 604 bhp and 850 Nm or torque. It does the 0 to 100 kph sprint in 3.3 seconds. While both cars have a restricted top speed of 250 kpf, the AMG Driver’s package can raise that limit to 300 kph.The engine is mated to a nine-speed Speedshift MCT (Multi Clutch Technology) automatic gearbox and comes with the 4Matic four wheel drive system.
