After a long delay, Lexus finally made an entry into India with 3 models, the ES300h sedan and the RX450h and LX450d SUVs. With SUVs enjoying huge popularity in our country, the luxury car maker brought in the NX300h towards the end of last year. The Nimble Crossover (that’s what NX stands for) has brought in good numbers and it is also the cheapest Lexus you can buy today in India. The Lexus NX300h comes in two trims, Luxury and F-Sport and we spent a few days with the Luxury variant to bring you this review.
Lexus NX300h Exterior
The NX300h is instantly recognizable as a Lexus as the styling is similar to its stable mates in the model line up. The in your face front grille gets piano black horizontal slats in the Luxury trim model while the F-Sport gets the spindle design. The LED headlamps get superb detailing while the L shaped day time running lamps are a stand out. Front parking sensors are mounted in the grille and the side vents and the front camera is mounted below the Lexus logo on the grille. Cornering lamps are mounted at the bottom end of the bumper. The side profile reveals a sharp shoulder line that starts at the bonnet, swoops down and then rises again to end at the tail lamp. The window line bends at the D pillar with another crease that also ends at the tail lamp. The squared wheel arches look muscular and the NX gets 18 inch alloys in a bronze and black finish on the Luxury trim. The rear is comparitively less dramatic than the front. The tail lamps have a clean design and the rear windshield gets an integrated spoiler. The tail lamps also get dynamic turn indicators that look super cool. The rear bumper gets chrome accents on the corners.
