Kawasaki has launched the 2018 Ninja 300 in India at Rs. 2.98 lakh ex showroom all India. The 2018 model is now heavily localised thus helping the bike maker to offer it at a competitive price. Earlier, the Ninja 300 was priced at Rs. 3.6 lakh all India ex showroom.
Mechanically, the Ninja 300 remains unchanged. It is powered by a 296 cc twin cylinder engine that develops 39 horsepower and 27 Nm of torque. The motor is mated to a 6 speed gearbox and features a slipper clutch as standard. The bike has a kerb weight of 179 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 17 litres. It comes shod with MRF 110/70 R17 at the front and 140/70 R17 rubber at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a 290mm single disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear. Dual channel ABS is now standard.
Cosmetically the 2018 Ninja 300 gets new colours and graphics as well.
The new price makes the Ninja 300, Rs. 1000 cheaper than the just launched BMW G310 R. It is also interesting to note that while the BMW has a single cylinder engine, the Ninja is powered by a twin cylinder motor.
Kawasaki is offering a three-year/unlimited kilometre warranty for free to those who are pre-booking the bike.
