The 2017 Nissan GT-R has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 1.99 crore ex showroom Delhi. Pre-bookings for the car were earlier announced for a deposit of Rs. 25 lakh.
The updated GT-R features a restyled front end with a new matte chrome finish “V-motion” grille. It is larger than before to provide better engine cooling and now features an updated mesh pattern. There is a new bonnet along with a newly designed front spoiler lip and front bumper. The rear retains the GT-R trademark four-ring taillights but there is new body work to help improve air flow, as well as side air vents next to the quad exhaust tips. The interior features all leather upholstery that includes the dashboard and the instrument panel. The number of switches are now down from 27 in the earlier model to only 11 in the 2017 car. Other features include an 8 inch touch screen for the infotainment system and steering mounted paddle shifters.The 2017 Nissan GT-R is powered by a 3.8 litre v6 twin turbo engine that develops 570 horsepower at 6800 rpm and 637 Nm of maximum torque. The car goes from 0 to 100 kph in less than 3 seconds and the engine comes mated to a 6 speed dual clutch gearbox. The Nissan GT-R is handcrafted in Japan by master craftsmen known as “Takumi”.In India, the GT-R is available in Katsura Orange (new for 2017), Vibrant Red, Pearl Black, Storm White, Daytona Blue, Gun Metallic and Ultimate Silver. Interior trim options for the interior include Red, Tan, Ivory & Black.
