2016 Toyota Fortuner leaked inside out
The 2016 Toyota Fortuner has been leaked before its official unveil slated to happen on July 17 2015. Some images of the brochure have also surfaced online.
The new Toyota Fortuner will be based partly on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) but will still be a ladder on frame SUV. It looks more sleeker than the current version and has the design language of Toyota’s internationally sold SUVs. There is a prominent twin slat grille with chrome bits. It features all new wrap around headlamps with projectors. The front bumper is aggressive and it houses vertical LED daytime running lights and round fog lamps. The side bears similarities to the bigger Land Cruiser, while the rear gets all new slim tail lamps with a chrome strip running between them bearing the Fortuner moniker. It gets a rear spoiler too.
A look at the brochure leak reveals an all new interior. There is a three spoke sporty looking steering wheel and a fresh looking dashboard. A touch screen infotainment system can be expected looking at the centre console. Silver and wood inserts add a nice touch. The brochure also reveals the three rows of seats. Overall the new Fortuner appears to be eons ahead of the current model.
As far as India is concerned, the new Toyota Fortuner is expected to be showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo with a launch later in the year.
