2016 Skoda Superb spotted in India
The 2016 Skoda Superb has been spotted testing in India without any camouflage. The car was unveiled globally last year and is based on their Vision C Concept.
The profile of the new Superb resembles the current car but is longer and larger than before. It gets a new grille, LED DRLs and C shaped tail lamps which are in tune with Skoda’s current design language. On the interior front, it gets a wider rear seat and there is more room for passengers thanks to the increase in the car’s length. Other features include a multi function steering wheel, panoramic sun roof, dual zone climate control, 12 speak sound system with touch screen, electric ventilated seats and other goodies. Expect the new Superb to rival higher priced competition in terms of equipment.
For India, the new Superb is expected to get a 1.8 litre petrol, 2.0 petrol and a 2.0 litre diesel engine. The 1.8 petrol could come with a 6 speed manual gearbox while the other two will get a six speed DSG transmission.
