The next generation Mercedes Benz E-Class has been spotted testing in camouflage for quite a while now. However, some new images of the car body on the assembly line have been released. From the pictures, the design philosophy of the new W213 E Class will be similar to that of the new S and C Class. 

The upcoming car will be based on Mercedes’ MRA platform, which will make it 100 kgs lighter than the current car. The interiors including the dashboard is expected to be based on the new S-Class.  Other variants like a Maybach version, long wheelbase, estate and an all road version are also expected.

The new Mercedes e-Class is set to be unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show in January next year.
