The Volkswagen Polo GTI has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 25.65 lakh ex showroom Thane. The car will be sold as a fully imported CBU.
Power comes from a 1.8 litre turbocharged petrol engine that develops a whopping 190 bhp of power. . It will come mated to a seven speed DSG automatic gearbox. The Polo GTI goes from 0 to 100 kph in 6.7 seconds and has a top speed of 236 kph.
On the exterior, the Volkswagen Polo GTI gets sporty bumpers, twin exhaust pipes and a honeycomb grille with GTI badging. It also gets a GTI specific rear spoiler. The car gets 16 inch alloy wheels as standard but 17 inchers are available as an option. Safety features include. ABS, ESP & Hill-hold functions and airbags. The GTI for India comes in the three door configuration.
Only 99 cars have been imported to India in the first lot and the car can be booked online right away on the Volkswagen India website.
