The Toyota Velfire MPV has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 79.50 lakh (all India ex showroom except Kerala) and will be an introductory price. Toyota says that 3 shipments of the Velfire have already been sold out. The car maker also says that Hyderabad customers account for 20 percent of the 180 bookings made so far. 60 units a month is Toyota’s allocation for India.
The Velfire is powered by a 117 hp 2.5 litre petrol engine combined with two electric motors (143 hp front and 68 hp rear). The MPV features electric four wheel drive as a result. Toyota claims and ARAI mileage of 16.35 Km/l .
The Velfire measures 4,935mm in length, 1,850mm width and 1,895mm height, with a 3,000mm wheelbase. On the exterior it gets LED headlamps and tail lamps, Sequential Side Turn Indicators, 17 inch hyper chrome alloy wheels, power sliding side doors and twin sunroof.
on the interior, the Toyota Velfire features Executive Lounge Seats in second row, Super long slide seats with Expansive Individual Armrest, Wide Headrests, Powered Seats- Slide, Recline, Cooled, Heated, Memory, one-touch-sit-up, Ottoman powered and extendable and Individual Tables.
Other features include leather upholstery, 3 zone climate control, 16 colour ambient roof lighting, one touch power slide for the doors, individual arm rest controls, sun blinds for second and third row, Powered, memory front seats: heated & cooled, Chauffeur Controls for Co-driver seat, second row seats, power side slide & back door, 10 inch touch screen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple Play, 17 speaker JBL sound system, 13-inch rear entertainment screen that’s mounted on the roof, fold out tables and cup holders.
The safety kit comprises of 7 airbags, VSC, Hill Start Assist, Emergency Brake Signal and Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM)
