Tata Motors recently announced the introduction of two new automatic variants in its compact sedan Tigor. The AMTs, labelled the XZA+ and XMA operate in conjunction with the trusty 1.2L Revotron petrol engine.
The new transmission comes with a crawl and anti-stall function that helps with effortless manoeuvrability in bumper to bumper traffic and quicker downshifting in the event of sudden braking.
The Tigor is feature loaded, both in terms of convenience and safety. It comes equipped with a 7-inch touch enabled infotainment display with 10-channel sound delivered by Harman. Bluetooth telephony, uniform cabin climate control, and as many as 24 storage spaces make the cabin incredibly utilitarian. In terms of safety, the car comes with dual front airbags, passenger seatbelt disengagement reminders, speed-sensitive centralised locking, engine immobiliser, rear parking sensors, ABS, EBD, and Corner stability control.
In terms of design, the car had recently received a minor facelift and now comes with electrically foldable mirrors, 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and 6 colour options that have been carried over from the outgoing Tigor.
The car retails at an ex-showroom (Delhi) price of INR 6.39 lakh for the XMA and INR 7.24 lakh for the XZA+ variant.
