Tata Motors has launched facelift versions of the Tiago hatchback and Tigor compact sedan at Rs. 4.60 lakh and Rs. 5.75 lakh ex showroom. Both the models are now BS VI compliant.
Styling changes include new sleek headlamps, front grille, redesigned front bumper with new fog lamps, LED DRLs (Tigor), new raise flatter bonnet, restyled rear bumper, new elements with the tail lamps and lettering on the tail gate.
The Tiago and Tigor are powered by a BS VI compliant 1.2 litre 3 cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine developing 86 hp and 113 Nm of torque. The engine comes with the choice of a 5 speed manual of AMT gearbox. The 1.05 litre diesel has been discontinued as upgrading this engine would a been an expensive proposition.
Features on the Tiago and Tigor ZX+ plus include a 7 inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, Harman sound system, digital instrument cluster and 15 inc alloy wheels.
Standard safety features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, corner stability control, high speed alert system and rear parking sensors. The Tiago and Tigor have just received 4 stars in the Global NCAP crash tests.
