Tata Motors has started testing the performance focussed Tiago JTP on public roads as seen from this spy shot. The Tiago along with the Tigor JTP were first revealed at the 2018 Auto Expo.
The Tiago and Tigor JTP are a joint venture between Tata Motors and Jayem Auto. Both cars are powered by a 1.2 litre turbo charged petrol engine that develops 110 horsepower and 150 Nm of torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 5 speed manual gearbox and features two drive modes:City and Sport.
The exterior features a new bumper and a JTP badge on the front grille. The bonnet features an air vent and the ORVMs are finished in red. The rear gets a diffuser and twin exhaust pipes. The roof is finished in gloss black and there is a roof mounted spoiler as well.There is a prominent JTP badge on the front fender and the cars have lower ground clearance than the standard counterparts. There are 15 inch diamond cut alloy wheels mounted on 185 profile tyres.
On the interior, the JTP models get a black and grey dashboard and come with red inserts. There is leather upholstery with red stitching including the steering wheel. Floor mats also feature the JTP theme with a logo and red borders. The dials feature the JTP logo as well.
