Tata Motors has revealed the all electric E-Vision sedan concept at the Geneva Motor Show 2018. The car maker is celebrating its 20th consecutive participation in the Geneva Motor Show.
The E-Vision is the latest concept to feature Tata Motors’ Impact 2.0 Design philosophy. The 45X hatchback and H5X concepts revealed at the Auto Expo in Delhi also featured the same design language.
The E-Vsion sedan concept is built on a EV version of the OMEGA architecture. Up front the similarities are apparent with the 45X concept. There are slim LED headlamps that extend all the way into the front fender. The 3d ‘Humanitarian Line’ as Tata calls it underlines the grille and the headlamps of the car. The front bumper features brushed aluminium trim at the bottom and L shaped elements on the sides. The concept features 21 inch alloy wheels. A diamond shaped DLO is defined by an aluminium blade that runs from the A to the C pillar. The ORVMs are beautifully sculpted and have a slim look.
The rear features more of a fastback design and ha slim tail lamps. An integrated spoiler forms a part of the boot lid and the rear bumper also features a thick aluminium accent.
The interiors of the concept have very subtle design elements and have a plush feel to them. There are two digital interfaces in the instrument panel that appear only when needed. The colours used in the cabin are light and the wooden touches look classy as well. There is loads of space under the instrument panel as well thanks to the EV platform. Tata Motors say that there is unmatched knee room and head room at the rear and the rear seats are fully adjustable.
There are a few tech specs that have been revealed. The E-Vision has a sub 7 second 0 to 100 kph timing, maximum speed of 200 kph and gradability of 40%. It features both, fast and slow charging options.
