Tata recently announced the list of safety features that will be offered across all variants of its popular hatchback Tiago.
While the new government mandate dictates a minimum number of safety features, Tata’s efforts are especially commendable as they exceed this mandate, despite the very low price of the car.
The Tiago comes equipped with Dual Airbags, Antilock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Corner Stability Control (CSC), rear parking sensors and overspeeding warning. Additionally, the Tiago has seatbelts with pretensioners, load limiters and warning lights for both driver and passenger.
We expect Tiago’s compact sedan counterpart, the Tigor, to share these features. The Tata siblings were recently in the news after facelifted versions were spied testing, and when Tata announced its decision to cease production of their diesel variants.
Currently, the stocking of dealerships is in progress and we expect the cars to hit the roads soon.
