Hyundai has announced that its new compact SUV codenamed QXi will be called the Venue. It will be revealed in India on 17th April 2019 with a launch in May later this year.
According to Hyundai the name references a ‘place’ where people want to be seen. The car maker also refers to the Venue as a connected SUV hinting that the new model will feature new connected technologies.
The Hyundai Venue will be a sub 4 metre SUV that will rival the Maruti Viatara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and the Ford Ecosport. Design is expected to be on the lines of the Hyundai Creta with new design elements. The Venue will be in line with Hyundai’s current design language.
As with all Hyundai’s the Venue is expected to come with a long equipment list like touch screen infotainment, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a sunroof and ventilated seats.
The Hyundai Venue will come with both, a petrol and a diesel engine mated to a manual and automatic gearbox. More details on this as we move nearer to the launch.
Prices will be announced at launch and we expect the Venue to come with premium pricing as opposed to its rivals.
