Mini Countryman Cooper SD Verdict
The Mini Countryman is not an outright SUV but more of a crossover. The Indian spec model doesn’t get AWD and ground clearance is not much either. You can’t customize it to your taste plus it is low on the equipment list. If you are looking for more of an SUV, the GLA, XC40 and even the X1 fare much better. But if you are looking for a fun to drive car, the Countryman has all the Mini traits we love. The diesel engine is punchy and efficient too. There’s lots of space and a large boot which makes it practical as well. Being a CKD the Rs. 37.40 lakh sticker price is not bad at all considering how expensive the CBU Minis are. So if you are looking for a luxury crossover that is fun to drive and high on the practicality quotient, the Mini Countryman SD is a pretty good bet.
