Step inside the MG Windsor EV and the first thing you notice is the sense of space.
MG Windsor EV Ride & Handling
The Windsor EV comes with a McPherson strut setup at the front and twist beam suspension at the rear. The ride quality is comfortable for most part. It does feel bumpy at the rear more than the front though. Light and medium undulations are taken care off well, but the sharp bumps are prominently felt inside the cabin. The Excite variant with 17-inch wheels might be better here. The car does well go around corners too. There is body roll but it is well controlled. The Windsor EV won’t complain when you drive it spiritedly except maybe give out squeals from the tyres when you are doing some high speed cornering. The car gets disc brakes all around and stopping power is impressive. It won’t spring up unpleasant surprises.
So, what is this BAAS all about that’s a highlight of the Windsor EV launch. In this scheme you pay a lesser acquisition price (Rs.9.99 lakh for base model) for the car and then pay monthly rent of Rs. 3.5 per km in form of an EMI. MG has tied up with four finance companies for this scheme. Of there are conditions like a minimum running of 1500 km per month. Would be best to check with the financers for details. Of course you also have the option to buy the car including batter for a regular ex showroom price.
