2017 Mercedes-Benz GLA facelift revealed
The Mercedes-Benz GLA facelift has been revealed prior to the Detroit Auto Show. There are a number of changes to the updated model.
On the exterior, the GLA facelift gets round fog lights on the 220 variant of the crossover. Additionally there is a slightly redesigned rear end along with tinted tail lamps. LED high performance headlamps are offered as an option. On the interior, the GLA facelift gets a 360 degree camera and an 8 inch free standing display screen for the infotainment system. The switches for the electric seat adjust get silver chrome finish and there are new fabrics for the seats in the Style and Urban trim levels. Mercedes is also offering an Exclusive package that includes hand crafted leather trim along with wooden and aluminium accents. An optional Night Package is also available that includes 18-inch wheels, black radiator louvres, black roof rails and more aggressive bumpers.Mechanically the Mercedes-Benz GLA facelift gets a new 220 variant that develops 184 horsepower and 300 Nm torque. The range topping AMG GLA 45 4Matic gets an updated 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine that now develops 381 horses and 75 Nm torque. It goes from 0 to 100 kph in 4.4 seconds. The engine is mated to a 7 speed dual clutch gearbox with shorter ratios in gears three to seven for better acceleration.
The Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 is also available new Yellow Night Edition package that comprises of Night Black or Cosmos Black exterior paint finish and comes with a number of Graphite Grey and Yellow accents.
