Mercedes-Benz CLA facelift revealed
Mercedes-Benz has revealed the facelift versions of the CLA sedan and CLA Shooting Brake. Both cars will make their debut at the upcoming New York Motor Show.
The Mercedes-Benz CLA and CLA shooting Brake facelift comes with a new front bumper with with a silver, black or chrome trim strip, a restyled diamond radiator grille in black, new rear bumper with the option of a panel that includes an integrated trim strip in chrome or black (Night package) between the exhaust pipes. The car now comes with a choice of five 18 inch alloy wheels that includes a new 5-twin-spoke design on the AMG line. High performance LED headlamps are offered as an option on the facelift model. The CLA45 gets front splitter inserts in matt titanium grey and high-gloss black flics, restyled rear diffuser with four vertical fins and the car also is offered with an optional AMG Aerodynamics package. This package comprises of a larger front splitter, additional flics, a black AMG spoiler lip at the rear plus spoiler lips over the simulated air outlets on either side at the rear. The interior of the Mercedes-Benz CLA also gets a refresh. There is new slimmer 8 inch screen for the onboard infotainment system, new instrument cluster with red needles and silver chrome finish to the dashboard and switches for the electric seat adjust. There are new trims options like matt black ash wood, black DINAMICA microfibre AMG ) or aluminium with honeycomb grain. Other features include hands free boot opening function, smartphone integration with Apple Car Play. The CLA45 gets an instrument panel upholstered in ARTICO man-made leather with red contrast stitching. An optional AMG DINAMICA Cockpit package is offered with a trim element in DINAMICA and a DINAMICA Performance steering wheel. The ignition key and the E-Select selector lever each sport an AMG emblem.The Mercedes-Benz CLA facelift comes with a variety of engine options. These include a 1.5 litre four-cylinder diesel with 109 horsepower and a 2.1-litre four-cylinder diesel in two states of tune that develops 136 and 177 horsepower. Petrol motors include a 1.6 litre four cylinder engine with outputs of 122 and 156 horses as well as a 2.0 litre four-cylinder engine that makes 184, 211, 218 and 381 horsepower. The AMG CLA45 now develops 375 horses from its 2.0 litre turbocharged engine.
