What it will not share with it’s sub 4 metre sibling is the engine. The new model will feature 1.99 litre diesel engine that develops 120 horsepower. This is the same engine that was offered in the Scorpio and the XUV500 in Delhi NCR region during the diesel ban. The TUV300 Plus is expected to come in multiple seats configurations including a nine seater version in the lower spec variants. The variant in the photos has the P4 badge so the model could come with the P suffix for the different trim levels.

The TUV300 Plus will replace the Xylo in Mahindra’s model portfolio. The Xylo has been soldiering on since its launch in 2009. It got a major update in 2012 followed by a minor refresh in 2014.
