The Mahindra eXUV300 has been officially revealed at the Auto Expo 2020. The eXUV300 is based on the XUV300 compact SUV.
The eXUV300 is built on the Mahindra Electric Scalable and Modular Architecture (MESMA) platform, and is likely to be offered with the choice of two battery packs. While the lower powered one might be aggressively priced to rival the Tata Nexon EV, the more powerful version could take on the MG ZS EV and the Hyundai Kona.
In terms of design, the sillhouette is pretty much similar to the standard XUV300. The eXUV300 gets a closed front grille. There are a lot of blue highlights all around to distinguish itself as an EV. The headlamp design is quite striking and the alloys have a funky design and keeping with the EV theme.
The eXUV300 uses battery cells developed exclusively for application India by LG Chem, who is a Korean battery maker.
The Mahindra eXUV300 will see a market launch in the second half of 2021.
