Jeep Compass Trailhawk Off-Roading
But, the Trailhawk isn’t about or-road driving, it’s forte lies in taking on the path less travelled. And that is its off-road abilities. The trail laid out for the Compass Trailhawk had everything from rocks and water crossings to deep ruts and steep inclines and declines which included an 8 storey drop. Total Jeep Wrangler stuff. While it all looked scary from the sight of things, the Trailhawk made short work of it. The Selec-Terrain system comes with with various drive modes including a Rock Mode and an Active 4×4 Low range unique to the Compass Trailhawk. While quite a few of the obstacles were handled in Auto mode, the low range came into play in some of the more tough and trickier ones. It’s when you put this SUV through its paces in this terrain, you realize why it sports that ‘Trail Rated’ badging. The fantastic articulation levels along with the approach and departure angles make it just so invincible. The compact dimensions also make things easier.
