Jaguar XF Interior

Get inside and you are greeted by a familiar looking cabin. The dashboard is unmistakably Jaguar. The Riva loop finds itself in the new XF as well. The Portfolio models get a 12.3 inch digital instrument cluster along with Head-Up display. The instrument cluster can also display full 3D maps. The three spoke steering wheel feels sporty and comes with paddle shifters. The layered dashboard feels luxurious and the centre console is pretty wide. There are some hard plastics around though and things like the window switches don’t feel premium enough. What’s nice is the 10.2 inch colour screen (lower trims get an 8 inch screen) that houses the InControl Touch Pro infotainment system. The system is very responsive and feels easy to use. There’s lots of equipment that you get with the range topping Portfolio. The 825 W Meridian Surround Sound System that comes with 17 speakers is fantastic. You get configurable ambient lighting and dual zone climate control. We would have liked if Jaguar had provided separate AC controls for the rear passengers too. The Portfolio also features multiple cameras as you can toggle through the views via the infotainment screen. There’s also Park Assist where the XF can steer in and out of a parking spot by itself, needing you to only control the brakes. A panoramic sunroof is standard on the Portfolio. The lower variants do not get a sunroof. What all the models do get is the all so familiar Jaguar handshake that comprises of opening side AC vents and rising rotary gear knob on switching on the ignition. The seats come finished in perforated leather. The front seats are extremely comfortable and come with 14 way electric adjust in the Portfolio including bolstering and thigh support. The back seats are excellent and there is loads of legroom thanks to the increase in wheelbase. Headroom is adequate but tall occupants could have an issue due to the sloping roofline. Also, the high transmission tunnel makes the rear seating best for two.
