Any doubts on what a hybrid Ferrari would drive like are thrown out my mind jut as fast as I was accelerating.
And then lets get to how pretty this thing looks. The styling is inspired by the iconic 250 LM racecar from the 60s and that makes it even more special. Every curve is not without function with aerodynamics being the clear focus. It even gets an active spoiler and this creates massive downforce even at speeds of 250kph. Phew!! The roof can be closed or opened in 14 seconds at speeds of 45 kph. A special mention to this smashing Rosso Imola shade with the Assetto Fiorano package. The frunk is also good for a couple of medium sized bags for a weekend getaway. It also has a plaque that shows you the options that the particular 296 is specified with.
Fun fact: The GTS monicker was earlier used for Ferraris that had a removeable hardtop panel by hand. Now Ferrari has started using the term for their Spiders as well, the 812 GTS being the other example. Ferrari introduced the hardtop Spiders from the 458 Spider and that has continued till date. The Roma Spider however is an exception getting a foldable cloth roof. More on that when we drive it.
