DC Design has announced that it will start deliveries of their Avanti sportscar this month. The first lot of cars will be delivered to their owners starting 15th April 2015. The Avanti was first showcased at the Auto Expo in 2012.
The Avanti has a mid engine rear wheel drive layout and is powered by a 2.0 four cylinder turbo charged petrol motor putting out 250 bhp @5500 rpm and has a maximum torque of 340 Nm that comes up between 2750 to 5500 rpm. It goes from 0 to 100 kph in a claimed 6 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 200 kph.The engine is mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox.
The Avanti has a body made of carbon composite material and has a roll cage design. It gets disc brakes all around and comes with ABS. There are three point seat belts with pre tensioners as well. It gets projector headlamps and LED tail lamps. The car rides on 20 inch multispoke wheels and has a staggered tyre set up: 255/35 R20 at the front and 295/30 R20 rubber at the rear.
There is a choice of four standard colours and four upholstery options. The Avanti has a base price of Rs. 34.93 lakh (All India ex showroom) There is also an options list to customize your Avanti and will add to the base price of the car.
