The Citroen C3 turbo is quick in the low end and mid-range. Will make the enthusiasts smile.
Citroen C3 Interior
Getting in and out of the C3 is fairly easy. Once inside, you will notice that the funkiness of the exterior has been carried forward to the interior as well. The orange treatment to the dash is a standout and you can also have yours in grey if orange is too loud for you. The steering feels nice to hold and gets only tilt adjust. It gets audio and phone controls on the right side but the blank space of the left looks out of place. There is a basic digital instrument cluster that shows the speedo, fuel and temperature, but Citroen has skipped a tachometer. Plastic quality is decent for most part with only a few bits feeling below par. The biggest draw of the interior is the large 10 inch touchscreen. The interface is easy to read and graphics are crisp. It also gets wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto. On the other hand, there is a substantial skipping of features which I do hope translates into an aggressive price tag. This top end Feel variant gets manual stalks for ORVM adjust, no arm rest, no rear wiper or defogger and even the IRVM does not get even manual adjust for dimming. And no rear view camera on that fantastic looking screen either. Talk about the lower Live variant, it loses the touchscreen infotainment, rear power windows, remote locking, passenger side sunvisor, steering adjust, LED DRLs, body cladding and the sound system. The C3 gets a manual AC which is impressive and cooled the cabin instantly in the hot Goa sun.
The front seats are not very wide but provide good comfort. Seat travel for reach is good and even the height adjust is excellent for short drivers. It does give you an SUVish like seating position. Th front seats give excellent cushioning as we.. The same can be said for the rear seats. There is plenty of legroom and headroom, and under thigh support won’t disappoint you. The centre console makes the rear best for two occupants. You also get USB charging ports. The switches for the rear power windows are located on the centre console and they are pretty inconvenient to use. You really have to bend down to operate them. Both the front and back seats get fixed integrated headrests and Citroen says the rear seat sits 27mm higher than the front. The 315 boot space is fairly useable but he loading lip is high.
