The BMW X5 M Competition has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 1.95 crore. The X5 M will will be sold as a CBU.

The X5 M Competition is powered by a 4.4 litre twin turbo V8 that pumps out 625 hp and 750 Nm of torque. It goes from 0 to 100 kph in 3.8 seconds. it comes mated to an 8 speed M Steptronic automatic gearbox that sends power to all four wheels. The X5 M also features an M Sport exhaust, Adaptive M Suspension and Active M Differential. The M Mode button features Road, Sport and Track modes.

On the exterior the BMW X5 M Competition gets a black kidney grille, M front bumper with large air intakes, Adaptive LED headlamps, roof and lower tailgate spoiler and M light alloy wheels: 21 inch at the front and 22 inch at the rear. BMW Laser light is also available as an option.

On the interior, the features include M Leather steering wheel with Red M controls, M multifunction seats with integrated headrests, 12.3 inch touch screen infotainment for iDrive, BMW Live Cockpit Professional with navigation system and the BMW Virtual Assistant, wireless charging, Harman Kardon Sound System, ambient ambient air package and panoramic sunroof. Optional equipment includes Rear Entertainment package and Bowers and Wilkins Diamond surround sound system.

Safety features list includes front, side and head airbags, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including ‘M’ Dynamic Mode, Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Dynamic Brake Control, Dry Braking function, Cruise Control with braking function along with Collision and Pedestrian Warning with City Braking function. The optional Driving Assistant Professional package provides Steering and lane control assistant, the Lane Keeping Assistant with active side collision protection, the Lane Change Assistant, the Evasion Assistant, the Emergency Stop Assistant and the Crossroads warning, Wrong-way warning and Front Cross Traffic Alert systems.
