BMW has announced that it will launch the new X1 and the new 7 Series on February 3, at the Auto Expo 2016. Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar will be present at the unveiling.The new X1 is bigger than the outgoing model and gets more of an SUV stance. It is built on BMW’s new front wheel drive platform but the company claims that it will still drive like a BMW should. Mechanically it is expected to be powered by the 2.0 litre 189 bhp diesel engine mated to an 8 speed automatic gearbox.
The all new 7 Series is expected to launch at the Auto Expo 2016. It now gets more luxurious interiors, is loaded with technology, excellent ride quality and fantastic handling. It is expected to by powered by a 3.0 litre diesel engine initially and a petrol model could join the line up later. The recently launched 3 Series facelift will also be present the the Expo. The updated model gets restyled front and rear bumpers, new LED tail lamps and optional LED headlamps. The facelifted model is expected to be powered by the same 2.0 litr diesel engine that does duty in the current car.
Other cars that will be display at the expo by BMW include the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo, the BMW 5 Series, the BMW 7 Series, the BMW X1, the BMW X3, the BMW X5, the BMW M4 Coupe, the BMW M6 Gran Coupe, the BMW X6 M, the BMW Z4 and the BMW i8. BMW Motorrad will also part of the show and will display the BMW S 1000 XR , BMW S 1000 RR, BMW R nine T and BMW R 1200 GS.
