Premium motorcycle manufacturer BMW has announced the launch of two new models in their Indian portfolio. The German company welcomes the F 900 R and F 900 XR motorcycles in India. The F 900 R follows the design cues of a naked street bike while the F 900 XR is endowed with the looks and capabilities of an adventure tourer. Both these bikes will be available across all BMW Motorrad dealerships in India as CBU models. Ex-showroom prices of these rather enticing motorcycles are listed below.
- BMW F 900 R : INR 09,90,000
- BMW F 900 XR Standard : INR 10,50,000

Powering these motorcycles is a water–cooled 4-stroke in-line 2-cylinder 895 cc engine with four valves per cylinder, two overhead camshafts and dry–sump lubrication. With an output of 105 hp at 8,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 92 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Driving modes, namely road and rain, work along with the ABS and traction control to optimise the power sent to the rear wheel. The bikes also come with a 6.5-inch colour TFT screen with BMW Motorrad connectivity as standard. Other standard features include anti-lock braking system (ABS), automatic stability control (ASC), anti-hopping clutch and cast aluminium wheels. The F 900 XR Pro gets additional features like Cruise Control, Gear Shift Assist Pro and Dynamic ESA (Electronic Suspension Adjustment) for an even better experience on the saddle.
