BMW has revealed the M760Li xDrive which is the highest grade variant of the 7 Series model range.
The M760Li xDrive is powered by a 6.6 litre twin turbo V12 engine that develops 600 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and maximum torque of 800 Nm coming up at 1,500 rpm. It does the 0 to 100 kph sprint in just 3.9 seconds and goes to a electronically top speed of 250 kph. With the optional M Driver’s package, top speed goes up to 305 kph. The engine is mated to an eight speed automatic gearbox. The gearbox features M Performance tuning that enables sportier gear shifts. The car comes equipped with BMW’s xDrive all wheel drive system. Although the system is read biased, it distributes power to all four wheels as the situation demands. On the exterior it gets the M Performance body kit which include sporty rear and front bumpers. There are larger air intakes and the kidney grille is finished in Cerium Grey. Other features include Creium Grey finished mirror caps, V12 badges in the C pillar, M badges on the sides of the car and Xdrive lettering on the rear. It gets a new M Performance exhaust system with opening valves that enhance the V12 engine note. Quad exhaust pipes complete the rear end. The car is shod with exclusive 20-inch M light-alloy wheels in double-spoke 760M design.
Inside the car, there is an M leather steering wheel with M logo, pearl gloss finished multi function buttons on the steering along with paddle shifters, door sill plates with illuminated V12 logos, M pedals and driver’s foot rest and a special speedometer. The centre console has the iDrive controller with a BMW Individual decorative inlay in Piano Finish Black and with V12 badging. The iDrive infotainment system comes with the gesture control system, a first in the 7 Series. The gestures can be used for a number of functions, including controlling the volume in audio applications and accepting or rejecting incoming telephone calls.
