BMW has launched the 3 Series facelift at a price of Rs. 35.9 lakh. It is available in four trim levels; Prestige, Sport Line, Luxury Line and M Sport.
The updated model features new LED headlamps and LED fog lights along with the trademark kidney grille. The rear gets LED tail lamps in an L shape. The kidney grille in Sport Line trim is finished in high gloss black. The interiors get red and black treatment with red contrast rings on the round gauges of the instrument panel, red contrast stitching on the sports steering wheel and trim strip in high-gloss black with coral red accentuated strip. The car comes in black with a red decorative strip. The Sport Line trim also gets more upholstery options. The Luxury Line variant gets chrome bits on the exterior and interior and the key comes finished in black with with a chrome-plated strip.
The 3 Series now gets an M Sport variant as well. Features include the M aerodynamic package, an M leather steering wheel, front sports seats and Driving Experience Control switch with additional Sport+ mode. It also gets the BMW Navigation System Professional and full colour BMW Head-up Display. The M Sport has a variety of leather upholstery options. The M Sport comes in an exclusive Estoril Blue metallic paint shade.
Power comes from a 2.0 litre twin turbo diesel engine that develops 190 horsepower and 400 Nm torque that comes up between 1,750 to 2,500 rpm. It goes from 0 to 100 kph in 7.2 seconds and has a top speed of 230 kph. The engine is mated to an eight speed automatic gearbox. A petrol variant will be launched later this year.
