Mercedes-Benz has launched the GLE450 AMG Coupe at a price of Rs 86.4 lakh ex showroom Mumbai. The sport SUV will be sold as an imported CBU.
Unlike the regular GLE, the Coupe gets a sloping roofline, a muscular bonnet along with larger wheel arches. It features a large single slat grille with LED headlamps, AMG badging on the front fenders, black ORVMs and a front spitter in chrome. The rear gets an integrated lip spoiler and dual exhausts. The GLE450 rides on 5 spoke 21 inch alloy wheels.
On the interior, the crossover gets a 3 spoke flat bottom steering wheel wrapped in black nappa leather,sport front seats, brushed stainless steel pedals, ambient lighting with 3 colours and an 8 inch screen for the COMMAND infotainment system. Other features include a panoramic sunroof, Active Parking Assist with 360 degree camera, PRE SAFE, Adaptive brake lights and six airbags.
The GLE450 AMG Coupe is powered by a 3.0 litre bi turbo V6 engine that develops 367 horsepower and 520 Nm torque. It does the 0 to 100 kmph sprint in 5.7 seconds. The engine is mated to 9G-Tronic automatic gearbox. There area five drive models available: Comfort, Slippery, Sport, Sport+ and Individual.
The GLE450 AMG Coupe is available in 5 colours and wil rival the BMW X6 in the Indian market
