Audi is set to launch the second generation Q7 in India on December 10, 2015.
Power will come from a 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel engine developing 268 bhp and 600 Nm of torque. The engine will be mated an 8 speed automatic gearbox and will come with Audi’s quattro all wheel drive system. In line with the company’s new nomenclature, the Q will come with a 45 TDI badge.
Looks wise there is a new grille along with new front and rear bumpers. It gets new headlamps with restyled DRLs and rectangular LED tail lamps. The interior gets a new dashboard and a free standing screen for the infotainment system along with a new gear lever and MMI controller.
The Q7 is expected to launch in only trim as of now. Features will include four aone climate control, leather seats with electric adjust, panoramic sunroof, Matrix headlamps, 360 degree camera, Audi’s new infotainment system, electrically folding third row of seats, touch pad with handwriting recognition, Audi’s ‘Virtual Cockpit’ all-digital instrument cluster, Bose sound system with 19 speakers, Park Assist and air suspension.
The initial lot of Q7s will be fully imported CBUs and locally assembly of the SUV is slated to begin at Aurangabad in 2016.
